The story of three wise men

Minutes ago, I just read about the story of the three wise men. The visit of the Magi. I'll just give a brief summary of the story.
These three wise rode westward searching fo baby Jesus, who had been born far away. Hence, they followed the star as they rode. At last, after two years of the wise men came to Bethelem where Jesus was born. The light of the star was still shining through the streets of Bethelem until it stood over a house. Upon arrival, each of them opened theirs gifts to Jesus. Gold, frankincense and myrrh. They were all precious gifts.
I think the story of the Magi is about the value of faith, patience and giving. Through faith in God, they knew that they were able to find Jesus. Two years was not just a long journey but a super long journey. We can do plenty of things within two years but why did the three wise men chose to walk this journey and continue to be patient as they allowed God to guide them through shining star. During the Jesus' time, gold, frankincense and myrrh were precious elements but the power of giving was so much valued that they gave their most precious things to Jesus.

SCANING SCANING AND SCANING. NOW IT'S STILL SCANING

Waiting. Since I'm waiting for the antivirus software to scan the files, I'll do some blogging as well. Though it always say "No malicious objects detected" at the end, it has yet to kill the virus on msn! It really drives me CRAZY. For the past few days, I've been scaning for over hours but it's helpless. My friends keep reminding me that they have been receiving the virus message again and again.ARGHH!!! I know it's really annoying but I just couldn't help anything. I'm really sorry. I'll re-install my msn again.
2 Hours and 3 minutes... And it's still scaning like...

HELLO

I've been staying and rotting at home for the past few days. I'm really bored. This is my daily routine: Wake up, eat, nap, online, doing some household chores (ordered by my mum) TV, dinner, online again and back to sleep again.

Less than a month later, school will be starting. I'm not excited at all, but rather, I am really afraid that I couldn't catch up the learning pace. Moreover, I'm a computer IDIOT. I can't imagine if one day my laptop were to breakdown during exams or anytime in class.

I went for the enrolment on monday morning. Everything was fine until the student card- making station. ARGH! The picture was taken and given on the spot. I don't whether I should laugh or cry at my own photo. It was really ugly. You wouldn't find anything that is uglier than it.

Then I proceeded to the next stage. CCA, cultural club and student union boothes were all there. Smart people, they made us (the new student) to walk through it before we proceed to the last station. Before I went through a haunted tunnel, I was determined not to join any of their camps or whatsoever if any were to approached me. However, God knows. I was defeated by one of the lady from the cultural club. I was defeated by her friendliness and spent $5 to join a weekend day camp.

Afternoon, I went back to school again with my dad to purchase the laptop. We spent quite some time to find a carpark. I know he was quite angry with me because I brought so much trouble to him and always like to do last minute work.

As we reached the roadshow hall, I approached the salesman from fujitsu and asked him about the laptop that I was recommended by Daniel. To my horror, it was out of stock an hour ago. I really feel like crying because it's a good bargain. So, I have to choose the next affordable one. So I chose the fujitsu lifebook. According to the salesman, that sold out laptop was from china and lifebook can last longer (at least 3 years). ( Hopefully what he said was true.)

Moreover, as I compared the weight difference, lifebook is lighter. It's 1.9kg while the sold out one is 2.5kg. I could really feel the weight difference. HA! That's soothe my dissapointment. =)

Lastly, I went to the post-configuration briefing where they thought us how to access SPICE account and recover when password is lost. Hopefully I'll remember it till the day I leave.

Though I'm going to a new school, I saw someone that I dislike during the day of enrolment and that makes me turn off. I don't know why, during school days she would use a weird expression to look at me as if I've done something disgusting and that really get me on my nerves.

Little Sharing 17 March 2009

Today is my parent's 27th wedding anniversary. This year, due to the economic downfall, the celebration wasn't luxurious as compared to the past two years but it was still sweet and meaningful. Most importantly, the celebration included the three of us. HEE!

We had our "Long John Silver feast" as my mum had been craving for a long time. HA! After the dinner, we went to icing room and my sis bought a plain cake for them to decorate. Yep, so we left it for them to decorate on their own and we went for window shopping. After half an hour, the cake was "FULLY" decorated with hearts our names represented by alphabet letters. I was touch by their little deed. It tells me that the three of us are inside their picture and has made their marriage a complete circle throughout these years.

For the past two weeks, I asked God a question again as I flipped through the new testatment last Friday. I asked '' Why wivies are called to be submissive to the husband?" But as I think through silently, God gives the responsibility to man to build a family. If they commited a sin wife were to commit adultery, husband will have to answer to God before the wife. Just like Adam and Eve. ( commited a sin )

Drill Compettion

HOLA! Our team, compromising of 19 girls and emerged bronze last Saturday. PHEW~! At last we got a bronze. Great job girls and let's look forward to the inter-UG competition next Friday.
On Saturday, we met at 10am in school and had our last practice before we set off to Nee Soon Camp at 12pm. The Sec 2s met us later at 11.50am.
As we get into the bus, the girls started to do their last minute touch up like polishing their boots, adjust uniform parts and tidy their hair. While our commander Min Hui was pretty stressed up.
When we reach the campsite, I had a nostalgia for our first drill competition. The place was the same but I was no longer a girl in the contingent competing but as an audience and helper watching the competition.
As a supporter of 9th coy, I felt nervous for the girls too. I don't know why.
After we alighted, the girls went to register their names and were directed to the first part of the competition: uniform inspection with Mindy while the rest of us: Miss Lee, Mdm Pei Ern, Rachel, Sec 2s and I went to the audience stand. However after a few minutes, I ran towards the inspection ground and witness the inspection. HA! Jia chyi's expression was really funny, She stood like the Mdm owed her $10000.
Just as one team before ours, the sun was really sorching and glaring. I was afraid that some of the girl's might not stand it because Abigail's boots wear off while Brigitte wasn't feeling well after the uniform inspection.

When team 21 was called to march in to the parade ground, I was really nervous and looked carefully to each one of their steps. Oosh! After they were commanded march out, I was relieved. Though there was a few mistakes but at least, it wasn't obvious. =)

Well, we went to New York New York to celebrate the hardwork paid off. Miss Song joined us for dinner too.

Drill Compettion

It's 14 March 2009 2.06am now. 2009 GB Drill Competition is about to start in a few hours time and this is the day that I've been looking forward since the last drill competition ended. I was Sec 4 at then. Today, drill competition is back and it's about to say "HI" to us in less than half day time.
I am pretty nervous though I am not in the contingent because I do not want to get another CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION again.
Yep! 9th coy brought COP back to school but I would dare to say that I was really happy because it was our first national drill competition. Everyone was fresh and new to the kind of GB national drill standard and we were competing with those big companies. With that setbacks and motivation, we earned ourselves 1st in our school drill competition 2007. ( But above all, we had to thank Hui Wen and Mdm Ruth for effort and patience. They had changed our history record in school)
This year, I hope that the girls could bring SILVER back to school.
Okay, I shall list all the 19 girls who will be participating in the drill competition.
Esther(thanks for coming back, your effort is greatly appreciated)
