Taste the Great.

1 January 2010. 01/01/10. 01-01-2010. 01/01/2010.

For in case, you're wondering, I'm just getting use to the new way of writing the dates. The world is moving on to 2010 when America's clock strikes 12 a.m. Half the world is sleeping, half the world's awake.
Just a note of evaluation for year 2009, blessed year by God in terms of time and finances. Thank God for the time in GB, ALAZ, SPCF, Studies, bible study, tuition, family and friends. Thank God for everything. Truly, I'm so blessed by the people around me. In the beginning of year 2009, I was questioning God about the difference between Wisdom and Intelligence and I've come up with a conclusion about Wisdom. To end this LONG-WINDED note here, Wisdom is to act in the will of God, seek for His wisdom.

This, this is Christ the King

Blessed Christmas!!
For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given.

This Christmas was a busy but meaningful one. Reminiscing the Christmas events that I had, I'm getting grateful for what has been done for this Christmas, and... the gifts that I've received in this blessed Christmas.
It all started with caroling at Joyce's shop on the 23rd. Disperse crowd was upsetting but as I was singing, somehow, I was reminded that we have a purpose for this caroling and the purpose is Christ, the son that is given at no cost. Yep, despite the disperse crowd, I really enjoyed the caroling.
I could only express how great was the candlelit service on 24th in just one word. Wonderful. This year, I finally brought my sister to church. She seemed normal, but I could feel that her heart was filled with Thanksgivings. Thanking God for what has done for her. After the service, everyone went down for refreshments and there, I received Christmas gifts and blessings from all the sweet ones. And then the night began. We left church before the clock struck 12 for movie with the QLC youths. SHERLOCK HOLMES. There were more than 20 of us watching and we occupied almost 3 rows of the cinema seats. After the show, it was already half past 2. For once, I was allowed to stay out late at such hour. Took a lift from Josiah and reached home at 3. So, did a preparation for Christmas service and finally get a good rest at 4.
Woke up at 8, brushed up, get set and flet home within 30 minutes for dance rehersal and preparation at 9. Service at 1045 and we had a performance item during the service as follows. CAPTIVATE US.

After the service, went for caroling at uncle young kwang's house. It was touching to sing for them when they wanted to dedicate one of the dialect song for their granny. I felt so welcomed by their warm hospitality.
Chilled out at island creamery with Chongs, Huiling, Yaps, and Jon Snr. A scoope of soursop sorbet and little talks enliven the day.
Shared Christmas evening with relatives at Yen Ling's place. Ended Christmas by opening up gifts with my sister that's all for Christmas.

Long awaited holiday

Term test was over, holiday is here.

The long awaited holiday is here again. It's time for my brain to replenish it's brain cells again before the last term comes. You know what? During the second day of the camp, While I was brushing my teeth in the morning, I've got a shocked by what I have seen in the mirror- EYE BAGS. All because of burning midnight oil for the past fews.
I have a bad feeling that this term test may turn me down when I receive back the all the papers. If I ever have a choice, I would never want to take back my auto cad results cos I screwed up that paper. Totally.
Sighh...
Anyway, on a happier note, I really enjoyed myself in the camp- CROSS-I...

DEJA VU

Experienced deja vu this afternoon during auto cad lesson. It was our first lesson in the lab but I felt so familar to that place as if I've been there before. Anyway, we had briefing over there and my intuition tells that this module is gonna be a tough one though i don't trust my intuition. Yeap, but no matter what, I'll just try my best.
Oh yes! I've gotten back my law and E.C.T paper. For those who do not know what's ect, it's actually elementary construction technology, the module is all about drawings and memorising. Both papers are the year long module. So, it was not calculated in the GPA. I got 87 for E.C.T and 79 for law. Yes, I'm happy for my E.C.T because I always had a hard time with drawings. For those who know me well, you know pei qi couldn't draw. However, not all credits goes to me because there are some people who had helped me along the way, even before the exams. Especially Fuji, he took all effort to travel from the east to sp, just to teach for that few hours. Thank God for him. For law, I'm one mark away to an A. Though it was good enough, I felt so shacked.

The rain pounds quietly against the glass

It's raining softly outside. Rain drops are pounding quietly against the window. I'm sitting in front of this computer, posting this entry and listening to the rhythm of the rain, at the same time. Cool weather makes my day. Thank God, I'm at home now.

King of lizards.

The KING of lizards ran across my sight frantically just now, as I switched on the lights, planning to get some water for sis. Gosh! He was super mega ultra big. Twice the size of normal lizards. I guess he was waiting for his army to get him food but I don't think there will be food for him tonight cos everything has been cleared already. MUAHAHA. Their party tonight will be canceled. Just too bad for you, king of lizards.

Pei qi is turning into a fat monster soon.

It's true, it's true! Pei qi is turning into a FAT monster soon.
Had been attending lots of gatherings and celebrations. EAT and EAT and EAT non-stop. Just came back from class gathering at Sylvia's condo. It was a BBQ session and yep, had lots of fun there. And now, my stomach is filled with lots of stingray, some crabsticks, hotdogs , a fillet, marshmallows and 2 chicken wings. Gosh, my stomach is gonna burst soon. Real soon.

Photos will be up soon.

Rain please ask the Sun to set my Heart aglow.

My eyes are dry now, maybe because of the weird weather. It was raining this morning but then it turn sunny around noon. Oh well, the weather clearly shows my mood today. I'm not sure why. I'm sad at this moment just like the dark clouds spreads across the sky. After the rain, the sun comes back and I'm happy again.

Woke up 15 minutes before the alarm clock rang. I'm reminded myself not to turn in to bed again cos I always do that. Okay. Finally I'm early for dance today as I was the first to reach. Had my breakfast at the little corner while waiting for them. That's where I got a little emotional while listening to the rhythm of the falling rain.

Felt better after the dance as we celebrated Joyce birthday. Happy birthday Joyce, thanks for all the encouragement that you have given to me. Thanks for comforting me. Your lovely smile was my solace- with lotsa love.

There's no such thing as permanent in life. Things got to move on eventually.

This is my second post of the day. My first post was just less than 5 hours ago. Life's good now, no agenda to chase after, no tutorials, no project work and no more assignment to deal with. I hate that hectic life though it makes life useful. School is starting soon but I'm not going to count down for that.

Enough Enough Enough

Enough please. I've been eating mooncakes for breakfast for the past few days since last Sunday cos we have to clear the STOCK. The best mooncake that I had was the durian mooncake from goodwood park. It was simply-- AWESOME. The rest sucks.
Having mooncake for breakfast is a NONO, it's super mega ultra rich. The smell is still in my mind since morning. YUCKS! Not going to eat that again for tommorrow morning. Please~
Time now is 18:15, having dinner soon but I'm craving for mac breakfast. Weird stomach, but I haven't had mac breakfast for since school ended.
One fine morning, I was late for law lecture. So then, I decided to skip the class and went to eat mac breakfast in school. I'm lovin' it.

Gloomy Night. What were you doing?

Went to watch (Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs) yesterday with Alicia, sis and Daniel. Ghees! Thanks for the movie treat. I was so lucky to get a movie and supper treat from them as I called my sis at the right time- just before she knocked off yesterday.
So I met them at lot 1. Supposed to meet at 8.30 but i was late for half an hour due to some reasons. We stopped over at newton food centre, and it's where I got so irritated by the seafood stall vendors. Just don't like the way they pull customers. So they had their dinner while I had my supper there.
We reached ps at about 10. The movie started only at 11.10, so we went to toastbox for coffee session and then we proceeded to the cinema.
Had a great time watching the movie. It was hilarious. Before I end this entry, watch this trailer please and you'll know why.

Wonderfully awesome!

I'm watching Moonlight Resonance (家好月圓). For goodness sake, I'm watching this hongkong drama for the second time. Apparently, the storyline is far better than Heart of Greed (溏心风暴). Besides one is selling mooncake while the other is selling abalone, they reshuffle the roles from heart of greed. The drama is simply AWESOME!
I hope to finish the drama again before lantern festival comes.
I began to fell in love with Hong Kong drama after so many years cos firstly, I find that it's less addictive as compared to Korean and Taiwanese drama. Secondly, hongkong drama is more family-oriented! Korean and Taiwanese drama will just make me fell in love with the male character and wondering in my LALA land and stay right in front of the computer screen for long hours before I could stop it and go back to life. Local drama is abit off sometimes.
Okay, enough of comparing. Here is my favourite part of the drama. Looking for this like SUUUPPPERRR ~~ long.Enjoy!

It's always so sweet to have a family. Thank God for giving me a family!

Monotonous life...

Oh well, I'm back to blogging. Simply because I've got nothing to do and I'm decomposing soon. Supposed to have tuition tonight but it was cancelled cos Daiman have something on tonight which means I'm free tonight which means I'm going to rot tonight which means I'm decomposing tonight.
Oh yes! I've just thought of something important to do tonight. My bible study questions!!! I've read the chapter; story of Rebekah, her love story with Issac and her deeds.
20 more days to school reopen but I'm still not ready for next sem. I don't know why. Maybe because I hate lectures, I hate assignments, I hate projects, I hate mugging and more and more. But, life has to go on...

It's the same course that I attended last month... same modules and gosh, it's the same first aid instructor- with that same broken engRISH... yeap. I had a hard time listening to his lecture.

Legendary... Once in a century

Sunday 23 August 2009. Cloudy and cooling day.

Wake up, drag myself to the toilet and was half-asleep while brushing my teeth. Yeap, made up my mind to follow my sis to st. mary cos I had to be back home early to study for the exam before we went out to attend a birthday party. (SUPPOSEDLY)
Unfortunately, we didn't make it for the party at last. Simply because we couldn't find the chalet. The given address was 10 Changi coast national service resort. haha!! despite having all the resources GPS, call-help and road map and we even tried to ask the security guard at national sailing centre, we spent 2 hours going around changi coast and the funniest thing is that we ended up on the same loop near national sailing centre not once, not twice but THRICE. All of us were duper irritated. Especially PAPA. He was hungry ( A hungry man is an angry man).
Yeap, in the end, we found the place. It was actually SAFRA! but they just renamed it as national service resort. Should have keyed in SAFRA country club instead of what 10 changi coast... We were struggling and arguing whether to go or not. Yeap, we managed to find the place BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO WASTE THAT 2 HOURS OF EFFORT.
By the time we reached the what they known it as national service resort, the party ended. We were listless and hungry by then. All my relatives came out and we met at the carpark. It was really embrassing as they started to ask why we couldn't find the place. The reasons were too complicated and the place is too remote.
1. "Coincidence"- phone rang. my sis was talking over the phone while my eldest sis was over the phone to find the place too. In the end, the one trying to navigate my dad lost her words. Missed the turn.
2. Missed the same turn... Supposed to drive under the bridge but dad drove...

Sense of accomplishment

Thank God for making today possible. Good weather, nice food and great bonding. Perfect!

Today it's our turn for community service project work and we are really fortunate to have Christian outreach to the handicapped to work with us, to accomplish our project. Though it's a short day, it is meaningful to all of us there. We had a pinic at botanical garden with the client and the teachers. We were having a good time of bonding with the people.

Right at the start we were having difficulties in finding homes. Supposedly, we had to find a home before the term closed but in the end, none of us bothered to find a home until the first week of the school term started.

It was not until I stumbled upon my facebook homepage where I saw Faith's post. I clicked on the tab and found that the 19th coy girls were doing some kind of community work at the home and somehow I saw the organisation's facebook account. So from there I tried to contact with them through email and they replied.

Initially, I thought that it was a physically handicapped home but one of the staff minded me that their clients were actually intellect disabled. Amazing.

For whatever reason, I got the idea of having a pinic with the people and thought of doing some drawings and colourings over there. God's wisdom, I think.

Planning was the most tedious job after all because it takes us several trips from Sp to Tampines and on Tuesday some of us also went to botanical gardens to recognise the place and to check whether the place is toilet accessible or not.

Thank God! Through His grace, everything goes on smoothly and perfectly.

F is for Food. I for Ice-cream. D is on diet.

I have put on some weight after enjoying so much of good food during the festive season- Fathers' Day. For goodness sake, we had 2 celebrations as 2 fathers have been complaining over the years that their celebration was always a 2 in 1 celebration as their birthdays falls around the corner of father's day and it was just so coincedental that both fathers had the same complains throughout the years despite having to know each other in these recent years.

21 July 2009

27 July 2009

These are the pictures taken (to mark as evidence) that indeed they had 2 celebrations. Ghees!

After enjoy so much of good food. Oh man! I hate to accept the fact that I have put on extra weight and opps! just had ben and jerry's ice-cream at night safari less than 2 hours ago.

Spelling the word- Faith

Had a meaningful long cafe talk at aunty Betty's house hours ago. It's a "ladies" night dicussion since uncle went to sleep.

Definitely, I had learnt alot throughout the session. It was a random chat at the beginning but slowly, as we get into the topic of guys and men, we began to talk about godly man. Henceforth, we talked about christianity and so on. She shared lots of her real life experiences with God and how her family became christian and how did her husband( uncle) became a christian 5 years ago. Indeed, God performs miracles and magics if we have faith in him.

As a young christian. I love to hear testimony from mature christians.Yes, one thing that I've brought home today is the value "Faith". I think accepting Christ is one thing but keeping faith in God is the true way to heaven.

BACK!

Hola! I'm back!

Yeap! I'm enjoying holiday happily. I think I've found the answer about poly life. Yes! Poly life is fun but I didn't know it's stressful at the same time because right now, everything is on my own. Results, grade and gpa, everything is so individual which makes me feel oppressed.

Ghees! But at least, I still have friends around. yes yes! I simply love the idea of having monthly celebration. We have celebrated over 2 months, for 5 people. Cool! 15 more to go...

The story of three wise men

Minutes ago, I just read about the story of the three wise men. The visit of the Magi. I'll just give a brief summary of the story.
These three wise rode westward searching fo baby Jesus, who had been born far away. Hence, they followed the star as they rode. At last, after two years of the wise men came to Bethelem where Jesus was born. The light of the star was still shining through the streets of Bethelem until it stood over a house. Upon arrival, each of them opened theirs gifts to Jesus. Gold, frankincense and myrrh. They were all precious gifts.
I think the story of the Magi is about the value of faith, patience and giving. Through faith in God, they knew that they were able to find Jesus. Two years was not just a long journey but a super long journey. We can do plenty of things within two years but why did the three wise men chose to walk this journey and continue to be patient as they allowed God to guide them through shining star. During the Jesus' time, gold, frankincense and myrrh were precious elements but the power of giving was so much valued that they gave their most precious things to Jesus.

SCANING SCANING AND SCANING. NOW IT'S STILL SCANING

Waiting. Since I'm waiting for the antivirus software to scan the files, I'll do some blogging as well. Though it always say "No malicious objects detected" at the end, it has yet to kill the virus on msn! It really drives me CRAZY. For the past few days, I've been scaning for over hours but it's helpless. My friends keep reminding me that they have been receiving the virus message again and again.ARGHH!!! I know it's really annoying but I just couldn't help anything. I'm really sorry. I'll re-install my msn again.
2 Hours and 3 minutes... And it's still scaning like...

HELLO

I've been staying and rotting at home for the past few days. I'm really bored. This is my daily routine: Wake up, eat, nap, online, doing some household chores (ordered by my mum) TV, dinner, online again and back to sleep again.

Less than a month later, school will be starting. I'm not excited at all, but rather, I am really afraid that I couldn't catch up the learning pace. Moreover, I'm a computer IDIOT. I can't imagine if one day my laptop were to breakdown during exams or anytime in class.

I went for the enrolment on monday morning. Everything was fine until the student card- making station. ARGH! The picture was taken and given on the spot. I don't whether I should laugh or cry at my own photo. It was really ugly. You wouldn't find anything that is uglier than it.

Then I proceeded to the next stage. CCA, cultural club and student union boothes were all there. Smart people, they made us (the new student) to walk through it before we proceed to the last station. Before I went through a haunted tunnel, I was determined not to join any of their camps or whatsoever if any were to approached me. However, God knows. I was defeated by one of the lady from the cultural club. I was defeated by her friendliness and spent $5 to join a weekend day camp.

Afternoon, I went back to school again with my dad to purchase the laptop. We spent quite some time to find a carpark. I know he was quite angry with me because I brought so much trouble to him and always like to do last minute work.

As we reached the roadshow hall, I approached the salesman from fujitsu and asked him about the laptop that I was recommended by Daniel. To my horror, it was out of stock an hour ago. I really feel like crying because it's a good bargain. So, I have to choose the next affordable one. So I chose the fujitsu lifebook. According to the salesman, that sold out laptop was from china and lifebook can last longer (at least 3 years). ( Hopefully what he said was true.)

Moreover, as I compared the weight difference, lifebook is lighter. It's 1.9kg while the sold out one is 2.5kg. I could really feel the weight difference. HA! That's soothe my dissapointment. =)

Lastly, I went to the post-configuration briefing where they thought us how to access SPICE account and recover when password is lost. Hopefully I'll remember it till the day I leave.

Though I'm going to a new school, I saw someone that I dislike during the day of enrolment and that makes me turn off. I don't know why, during school days she would use a weird expression to look at me as if I've done something disgusting and that really get me on my nerves.

Little Sharing 17 March 2009

Today is my parent's 27th wedding anniversary. This year, due to the economic downfall, the celebration wasn't luxurious as compared to the past two years but it was still sweet and meaningful. Most importantly, the celebration included the three of us. HEE!

We had our "Long John Silver feast" as my mum had been craving for a long time. HA! After the dinner, we went to icing room and my sis bought a plain cake for them to decorate. Yep, so we left it for them to decorate on their own and we went for window shopping. After half an hour, the cake was "FULLY" decorated with hearts our names represented by alphabet letters. I was touch by their little deed. It tells me that the three of us are inside their picture and has made their marriage a complete circle throughout these years.

For the past two weeks, I asked God a question again as I flipped through the new testatment last Friday. I asked '' Why wivies are called to be submissive to the husband?" But as I think through silently, God gives the responsibility to man to build a family. If they commited a sin wife were to commit adultery, husband will have to answer to God before the wife. Just like Adam and Eve. ( commited a sin )

Drill Compettion

HOLA! Our team, compromising of 19 girls and emerged bronze last Saturday. PHEW~! At last we got a bronze. Great job girls and let's look forward to the inter-UG competition next Friday.
On Saturday, we met at 10am in school and had our last practice before we set off to Nee Soon Camp at 12pm. The Sec 2s met us later at 11.50am.
As we get into the bus, the girls started to do their last minute touch up like polishing their boots, adjust uniform parts and tidy their hair. While our commander Min Hui was pretty stressed up.
When we reach the campsite, I had a nostalgia for our first drill competition. The place was the same but I was no longer a girl in the contingent competing but as an audience and helper watching the competition.
As a supporter of 9th coy, I felt nervous for the girls too. I don't know why.
After we alighted, the girls went to register their names and were directed to the first part of the competition: uniform inspection with Mindy while the rest of us: Miss Lee, Mdm Pei Ern, Rachel, Sec 2s and I went to the audience stand. However after a few minutes, I ran towards the inspection ground and witness the inspection. HA! Jia chyi's expression was really funny, She stood like the Mdm owed her $10000.
Just as one team before ours, the sun was really sorching and glaring. I was afraid that some of the girl's might not stand it because Abigail's boots wear off while Brigitte wasn't feeling well after the uniform inspection.

When team 21 was called to march in to the parade ground, I was really nervous and looked carefully to each one of their steps. Oosh! After they were commanded march out, I was relieved. Though there was a few mistakes but at least, it wasn't obvious. =)

Well, we went to New York New York to celebrate the hardwork paid off. Miss Song joined us for dinner too.
Hello!
What's Esther trying to do?

The ice-cream looked irresistable.
