The book which enlightens

"Boy meets girl" is a cliche title to carry around and read in the public transport and even in school. Your kaypoh neighbours in the bus would peep into your book just like how our dear aunties and uncles like to peep from the office boy's "The newpaper" headline in the MRT. During Gems class today I took out the book again to pick up the storyline againwhile waiting for the lesson to start. Just as I was at my peak of my concentration, my classmate, Kenny who was sitting beside me asked, "Is that a love story that you're reading? What's is it about? Can I see the title" I was reluctant to say the title cos it is an hackneyed phrase.
But I tell you, I've never find myself reading a book so hungrily that I read 60 pages in a day. What interest me is not about how marvelous the love stories are, I'm looking more forward to see how the Master puts two together, how couples enjoy the journey of courtship and not dates. One thing that struck me the most about this book was about the "potential boyfriends or husbands". That paragraph was just there for me as I always have these categories in my mind which are useless. To be myself and naturally just like friends.
For those who have someone in mind like me, Don't hide your feelings from God cos He wants you to tell him how you feel. And lastly,
" Do not be anxious about anything, but everything in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"
Philippians 4:6-7
Blessings

Gimme hope Kaka

I'm still quite affected by the match between brazil and north korea. It was well expected that Brazil would win over north korea. It was a sure win match as expected but it was kinda a disappointing match cos it shouldn't be a 2-1 win over. I thought brazil would sweep off north korea with a 3-0 at least. Besides, I'm upset that Kaka wasn't at his best performance that night (sighhh...) Hope that he'll be better next round this sunday.

Gilberto backs kaka to shine, so do I.

Oh well, kudos to north korea. Defence is the only solution in this match and they managed to slip off goal keep's guard once ( kudos to the striker yun nam)

An ardent supporter of kaka

Couch potato

One litte, two little, three little red dots seem to have subsided after a week. Just the week before, I was sitting down on my bed crying over few red dots I found on my hands. But well, not because of that few little red spots (literally), it's because of my fear that i couldn't catch up with the lessons. I know I sound like some "scholars-wannabe" but I really couldn't understand certain modules right from the start of the first lecture, esp (MBW-measurement of building works) AHHHH!!! that's a total killer.
Oh well, I've been a couch potato that spends 90% of a day lying down on the sofa feeling so restless and drowsy cos of that "after-drug-effect". I've always managed convinced myself that I need plenty rest and that "now" is not the right time to study...
Feeling good now is a bad omen I guess.

my-my

Spend a good Friday sleeping and resting, wondering why the fever's back. Was it yesterday's hospital visit? Or it's the fact that I didn't finish the medicine given on Tuesday on time? Seriously, no idea why it came back.

Empty note

Hey, you know what. I'm lacking of language to write this post. Much things to say but nothing to write...

There is no doubt in my mind

There is no fear of belief
There’s just this cold reality That wants to take me away from You There is no doubt in my mind That in Your perfect time Your plans and Your ways will unfold.

Some say we need a miracle
Some say there’s no hope at all
But I know Your love is strong, it goes on and on and on and on
Rise up when it gets us down
It’ll be the voice in a blaring crowd
Because we know Your love will lead us home It goes on and on and on and on…

Found this song through youtube by chance. As I read through the lyrics, I was slightly taken aback because these are words that speaks out my feeling and determination to stand firm in my spiritual walk because Satan is near. I know it's going to be tough but I've a giant walking along with him. One day, my prayer will come true, my parents will be saved and one day... He'll lead us home.

AMELIA EARHART. Truly inspired.

" Why do you want to fly?"
"Because I want to be free."

Ever since Amelia had started showing in the cinema, I hadn't had a good chance to watch this movie. Not until last month where I watched this movie on board. The movie was not well rated but what's more important is about the truth of story. Where this amazing woman who devote herself in her aviation career but sadly, she went missing and was declared dead 2 years later.
I was affected by the truth of the story even after the show has ended. Her partner, Noonan and her both went missing over Pacific Ocean, on their way to Howland island (the island near which lies between Hwaii and Austrailia).
Despite being sad by the airplane tragic, I was quite inspired by her dressing and style and her spirit in aviation career.
I was overly inspired and crazy about her that I remembered the time at HK H&M, er-jie showed me an aviator hat and I almost went crazy with it and shouted "AMELIA" "AMELIA". Little did I know that there was a caucasian standing beside me and was laughing at me.

Someone to be missed dearly

Someone beside me is missing and I feel quite empty now cos she's away to Europe for and it's the first time she's away to another strange piece of land for 16 days ,without us.
16 days without someone sharing the "king size" bed with me for 10 years, without someone beside my desk and sharing the same odd jokes and pestering each other and big fights that we had.
Spent my night with DA-jie. She came over to my room to sleep over. Gosh. She's a Thumbelina. She brought in 5 pillows to my room. And now, she's blaming me cos I pass the bad flu to her. I know it's my bad but I'm also a victim.

What a wacky sisters that God has given me!

Because of all these changes

I wonder why reality has changed you so much. You weren't like this before. We were good childhood mates. We are sisters. Remembering the good times when we did schoolwork together, played together, get scolded together, laughed together.
If only reality has not been harsh on you, will you be like that? If time were to be back again, will you still choose this path?
It just hurt when see all these changes in you. Everyone is waiting for you to turn back but why do you still insist on your way?

School tomorrow. Tough week ahead cos projects are piling up. Gosh! Will I survive until next Sunday? I hope so...

Sleeping Beauty

Rosalia Lombardo
Have you heard about her?
She is one of 2,000 mummified bodies buried in a catacomb at Palermo, Sicily.

She died at the age of two 1920 and is still well-preserved till date. She looks like a little princess sleeping. Hence, receiving the name " Sleeping Beauty". With the huge ribbon above her head and body covered by the blanket really make her look as if she's still sleeping.
Supernatural and creepy? And now my wonders begin. Wondering how she died, her family and how did her father approached the embalmer and how did he embalmed her. The most beautiful mummy I've ever seen. EVER.

Taste the Great.

1 January 2010. 01/01/10. 01-01-2010. 01/01/2010.

For in case, you're wondering, I'm just getting use to the new way of writing the dates. The world is moving on to 2010 when America's clock strikes 12 a.m. Half the world is sleeping, half the world's awake.
Just a note of evaluation for year 2009, blessed year by God in terms of time and finances. Thank God for the time in GB, ALAZ, SPCF, Studies, bible study, tuition, family and friends. Thank God for everything. Truly, I'm so blessed by the people around me. In the beginning of year 2009, I was questioning God about the difference between Wisdom and Intelligence and I've come up with a conclusion about Wisdom. To end this LONG-WINDED note here, Wisdom is to act in the will of God, seek for His wisdom.

This, this is Christ the King

Blessed Christmas!!
For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given.

This Christmas was a busy but meaningful one. Reminiscing the Christmas events that I had, I'm getting grateful for what has been done for this Christmas, and... the gifts that I've received in this blessed Christmas.
It all started with caroling at Joyce's shop on the 23rd. Disperse crowd was upsetting but as I was singing, somehow, I was reminded that we have a purpose for this caroling and the purpose is Christ, the son that is given at no cost. Yep, despite the disperse crowd, I really enjoyed the caroling.
I could only express how great was the candlelit service on 24th in just one word. Wonderful. This year, I finally brought my sister to church. She seemed normal, but I could feel that her heart was filled with Thanksgivings. Thanking God for what has done for her. After the service, everyone went down for refreshments and there, I received Christmas gifts and blessings from all the sweet ones. And then the night began. We left church before the clock struck 12 for movie with the QLC youths. SHERLOCK HOLMES. There were more than 20 of us watching and we occupied almost 3 rows of the cinema seats. After the show, it was already half past 2. For once, I was allowed to stay out late at such hour. Took a lift from Josiah and reached home at 3. So, did a preparation for Christmas service and finally get a good rest at 4.
Woke up at 8, brushed up, get set and flet home within 30 minutes for dance rehersal and preparation at 9. Service at 1045 and we had a performance item during the service as follows. CAPTIVATE US.

After the service, went for caroling at uncle young kwang's house. It was touching to sing for them when they wanted to dedicate one of the dialect song for their granny. I felt so welcomed by their warm hospitality.
Chilled out at island creamery with Chongs, Huiling, Yaps, and Jon Snr. A scoope of soursop sorbet and little talks enliven the day.
Shared Christmas evening with relatives at Yen Ling's place. Ended Christmas by opening up gifts with my sister that's all for Christmas.

Long awaited holiday

Term test was over, holiday is here.

The long awaited holiday is here again. It's time for my brain to replenish it's brain cells again before the last term comes. You know what? During the second day of the camp, While I was brushing my teeth in the morning, I've got a shocked by what I have seen in the mirror- EYE BAGS. All because of burning midnight oil for the past fews.
I have a bad feeling that this term test may turn me down when I receive back the all the papers. If I ever have a choice, I would never want to take back my auto cad results cos I screwed up that paper. Totally.
Sighh...
Anyway, on a happier note, I really enjoyed myself in the camp- CROSS-I...

Am I leading a focus life? Or am I swaying around on the street like a drunkard? I feel so low now.
